Recently a new direct flight route between South Korea and Ryukyu's Miyako Island has opened up. Miyako Island has a large presence of Japanese military ("Self Defense Force"), which has long been opposed by the local people. https://www.facebook.com/groups/802425467313797/permalink/1762838947939106/ Within his first week in office, President Donald J. Trump fulfilled one of his campaign promises by writing a memo directing the Department of Interior to draft a plan to grant federal recognition to the Lumbee Tribe. The Peace For Okinawa Coalition would like to thank President Donald J. Trump and his administration for helping to negotiate a historic peace deal between the Democratic Republic of Congo and the Republic of Rwanda. Congo and Rwanda have been fighting off-and-on for thirty years, with continuous fighting since 2022, resulting in millions killed, injured, or displaced. Peace between the two countries had previously been described as "impossible." This deal negotiated by the Trump administration will hopefully bring lasting peace.
The Peace For Okinawa Coalition would like to congratulated Congo, Rwanda, and the Trump administration on this historic agreement, and urges all sides to maintain peace. |
